President Bola Tinubu, the president Of The Federal Republic Of Nigeria, has left Abuja and traveled to France.
According to PUNCH Online, at 4:08 p.m., the President and a few of his top aides boarded an Airbus A330 corporate jet that took off from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
The plane arrived in Abuja about 8:30 p.m. on Sunday following a roughly five-hour flight from EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg in France, according to people with knowledge of the President’s travel that provided information earlier on Monday.
An anonymous Presidency official stated, “The President will be using the plane to travel to France today. It arrived yesterday.”
The President will make his fourth visit to the European nation on Monday, August 19, according to a statement released on Sunday night by Mr. Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu’s spokesperson.
The Presidency announced that “the President will return to the country after his brief work stay in France,” but it did not specify the reason for or length of Mr. Tinubu’s visit.
A French court recently seized three presidential aircraft, including the modified jet, in favor of Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Co. Limited, a Chinese company involved in a legal dispute with the Ogun State government.
