Kekere Ekun To Become CJN- NJC
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will swear in Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the Chief Justice of Nigeria tomorrow.
The swearing-in ceremony is billed to take place on August 23, 2024, at the State House Council Chambers.
Kekere-Ekun will succeed Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, who retired Thursday.
The President “will swear in Justice Ariwoola’s successor at the State House Council Chambers on August 23, 2024,” said by the president Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.
Tinubu also congratulated Ariwoola, whose stint in the judiciary he described as a “successful public service career,” commending him for his services to the nation.
He congratulated Ariwoola on his successful public service career in a statement signed by Ngelale.
Recall that Former president, Muhammadu Buhari swore in Ariwoola as CJN in October 2022, months after he replaced former CJN Tanko Muhammad in an acting capacity.
