It was reported on Thursday that one of the governors of Oyo State ally Benedict Akika was kidnapped by gunmen in his house.
He was said to have been kidnapped at his Olorunda residence in the Lagelu Local Government Area of the state.
Investigations by our reporter revealed that the gunmen, who were armed to the teeth, invaded his residence and threatened to shoot any of the occupants who might put up resistance.
After careful investigations, a source who craved anonymity told Thepage.Ng that Benedict Akika was kidnapped because of a transaction which he made with some set of people which the source can not identify.
The source also told Thepage.ng reporter that Benedict was carted away to lagos in an unidentified area which no one knows.
