The Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde had stated that the Oyo state government under is leadership has paid land owners in Ajia area in Ibadan for using there land in building up an air force base.
The Governor stated this while performing the ground breaking ceremony of the upgrading of the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport has an international airport he stated that “government has paid due compensation to land owner’s in Ajia who lost property to the newly constructed Air Force base in the area”.
Makinde also assured residents of the state that the presumptive tax law which was recently passed by Oyo state House of Assembly will not be Implemented at this time due to general hardship facing the people he added that his governorship will only fight poverty and not the poor people .
