Recall that Department of State Security Services (DSS) has invited social media star Idris Animashaun, who is renowned for speaking truth to power after she was accused of criticising Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership,ThePage authoritatively reports.
Mr. Idris Animasaun who is popularly known as Long man has been in DSS custody since 10am in the morning where he is going through interrogation and no one has been able to reach out to him.
In a swift response ,The Elite Broadcasters, a renowned media group based in Ibadan, expresses grave concern over the continued detention of its Director of Media and Public Relations, Mr. Idris Animasaun, popularly known as Longman. Mr. Animasaun who was reportedly invited by the Department of State Services (DSS), Oyo State Command, at approximately 10:00 AM this morning for interrogation.
Thepage.ng reported that the group has blown an alarm it was been stated that “It has now been over five hours since his invitation, and no official communication has been received regarding his whereabouts or the nature of his detention. Members of The Elite Broadcasters, who gathered in solidarity with Mr. Animasaun, have been left in the dark as they were told he was undergoing interrogation with the Director of the DSS”.
“We, therefore, call on the DSS to provide immediate clarification on the reasons for his continued detention and ensure his safety. The media community and concerned citizens deserve transparency and accountability from institutions like the DSS, which are meant to uphold justice and fairness.” the group added
