Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, along with members of his cabinet, met with All Progressives Congress (APC) leader Chief Bisi Akande in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
The closed-door meeting took place on Tuesday, March 4, 2024.
Among the attendees were the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Adewale Olumide Egbedun; the Secretary to the Osun State Government, Teslim Igbalaye; the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye; and the Commissioner for Information and Civil Orientation, Kolapo Alimi, among others.
While the details of the meeting are yet to be revealed, some individuals claim that Adeleke’s meeting with Akande, a former governor of Osun State, was solely a courtesy visit.
Others, however, suggest it may be a strategic move to secure a favorable position ahead of the 2026 governorship election, in which Adeleke is seeking a second term.
