President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been bestowed with a traditional title in Anambra State, earning the designation “Dike Si-mba of Anambra”, which translates to “The Mighty Warrior.”
The development was announced by Fredrick Nwabufo, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Engagement, in a post made on Thursday, May 28, 2025.
“President Bola Tinubu has just been conferred with the chieftaincy title of Dike Si-mba of Anambra – the Mighty Warrior,” Nwabufo wrote on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
President Tinubu is currently in Anambra on a one-day working visit. During the trip, he is expected to commission several key projects, including the state’s first-ever Government House, the Solution FunCity, Anambra Country Club, New Government Lodge, New Presidential Lodge, and the Emeka Anyaoku Center at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
Meanwhile he will also inaugurate the Light of the Nation Tower, a landmark structure situated within the new Government House complex. The tower, which symbolizes Anambra’s slogan and identity, was constructed by Dutum Construction Limited, led by Managing Director Temitope Runsewe.
