As the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu marks its second anniversary, a senior official in the Presidency, Kamorudeen Yusuf, has expressed strong support for the President’s leadership style and policy direction, affirming that the Renewed Hope Agenda is yielding measurable results across sectors.
Yusuf, who serves as the Personal Assistant to the President on Special Duties, made the remarks in a statement released on Wednesday. He commended the administration’s “courageous decisions and focused governance,” which he said have started to reposition the country on a path of sustainable growth.
“For two years, I have watched you lead with vision and courage, taking tough decisions for a better Nigeria,” Yusuf said, in reference to the economic reforms and infrastructure investments introduced under the Tinubu administration.
The statement further described the President’s approach to governance as one that prioritizes national interest above public approval, emphasizing service delivery and policy outcomes.
According to Yusuf, the President’s initiatives reflect a deliberate shift toward long-term institutional reforms, especially in areas such as economic diversification, energy, transportation, and social investment.
While acknowledging the economic challenges that have followed some of the reforms, Yusuf maintained that the administration remains focused on building a more resilient and inclusive national economy.
The Renewed Hope Agenda was introduced by President Tinubu during his 2023 presidential campaign as a broad-based plan aimed at improving governance, strengthening national unity, and driving socio-economic transformation. Two years into the administration, public commentary on its implementation has drawn mixed reactions, but aides like Yusuf insist that the foundation being laid is critical for Nigeria’s future.
