As schools reopened for the new academic term, pupils in public primary schools across Ogun State received free school bags, exercise books, pens, and pencils through the Back to School Initiative of Mr Kamorudeen Olawale Yusuf, Personal Assistant on Special Duties to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The distribution, which kicked off in Ota at the Palace of the Olota, also featured sensitization sessions where children were taught how to protect themselves against molestation and encouraged to speak up when threatened.
Mr Yusuf, who also doubles as the Grand patron of the Alliance for Kamosky and Kamosky Loyalists, said the initiative was meant to ease the financial strain on parents at the start of the school year and inspire pupils to focus on their studies.
Teachers and community leaders who witnessed the event praised the gesture, describing it as timely support for families preparing their children for the new term.
