Osun State University (UNIOSUN) is set to award a total of 2,851 degrees and diplomas during its 15th Convocation Ceremonies. According to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Clement Odunayo Adebooye, the university will be conferring these certificates on students who have successfully completed their academic programs. The breakdown of the awards includes 2,505 Bachelor’s Degrees, 1 Postgraduate Diploma, 283 Master’s Degrees, and 62 Doctorates.
In terms of classification, 41 students earned First Class Honours, 988 earned Second Class Upper Division, 1,279 earned Second Class Lower Division, 178 earned Third Class, and 1 student graduated with a Pass. The Vice-Chancellor highlighted the prompt release of final results, noting that the outcomes were prepared within a month after the end of the 2024/2025 academic session in August 2025. This, he said, is a testament to the dedication and efficiency of the university.
As part of the convocation ceremonies, the university will also commission seven significant projects. These include the Iconic Senate Building, the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology Building, Twin Lecture Theatres at the Osogbo Campus, and several other lecture theatres at the Osogbo and Ifetedo Campuses. Additionally, the university will commission high-profile entrepreneurship equipment for garri and palm oil processing at the Osogbo Campus.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed gratitude to the Governor of Osun State and Visitor to the University, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, for his constant support. He also appreciated members of the press for showcasing the university’s achievements, as well as the governing council, staff, and all stakeholders committed to the institution’s growth.
