In a social media post ,an All Progressive Congress Member in Oyo state named Oloye Abiola Oyeyemi has stated that he doesn’t have any connections with the minister power Oloye Bayo Adelabu but they share the same political party.
He stated this on his Facebook page that “It’s simple to understand, any state government can embark on any federal projects such as road, irrigation projects, airport repairs within their state and definitely they will surely get reimbursement from federal government but like Ayekoto wrote it’s compulsory they get federal government approvals for such project, so they can be repaired in full”.
“Yes, Ibadan airport becoming International airport is a big thing, and kudos to GSM but Federal government is the owner of the airport. FG employed their staff, all the monies spent on the infrastructural upgrade on that airport will be given back to Oyo state government later in future. Oyo state govt will get their money back for sure.
That Oyo govt upgraded the airport to international airport doesn’t transfer the ownership of the airport to Oyo state government”.
“Former minister work, Raji Fasola once placed embargo on state govt for reconstruction of roads and other projects under the purview of the federal government bcos of the way some state government handle many FG projects in their state”.
