The 2025 edition of the Ibadan Tech Expo has officially concluded, attracting over 10,000 participants including tech enthusiasts, innovators, startups, investors, and industry leaders from across Nigeria and beyond. Held in the heart of Ibadan, Oyo State, the expo was a major highlight for the country’s burgeoning tech scene.
The event featured exhibitions, product launches, keynote addresses, panel sessions, and workshops. Topics ranged from artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, fintech, blockchain, and agritech to software development and startup funding.
According to the organisers, this year’s turnout marked a record high since the inception of the expo, reflecting the increasing interest in digital innovation and technology-driven solutions within Nigeria’s economy.
Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, represented by officials from the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, commended the organisers for using Ibadan as a launchpad for tech advancement in the region.
Startups present at the event had opportunities to pitch their ideas to venture capitalists and angel investors, while participants engaged with tech tools, career opportunities, and training programs offered by local and international tech companies.
